London
We welcome new members. We have most recently been organising Conversations in Lewisham in collaboration with the Borough Council and are now starting to make Portraits of the inhabitants.
We have been invited to discussions by the London Cultural Olympics. We are planning a project with the unemployed.
Our activities and events have included:
- A conversation dinner at the Hayward Gallery on the South Bank
- The Feast of Strangers on 22 August each year, held in Regent's Park this year
- National Portrait Gallery exhibitions of video self-portraits made under the direction of Gideon Koppel,
- Portraits made by John Reed of the members of the London Gay Men's Chorus, and of the residents of London SE 1.
- Portraits of the Homeless made in collaboration with Business in the Community.
